Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 4, 2026

PyroMetal (“the app”) is a real-time fire, smoke and explosion simulation app for macOS. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: PyroMetal does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

1. Data we collect

We do not collect any personal data. PyroMetal has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. We do not operate any server that receives your data.

2. On-device processing

Everything you do in PyroMetal — building scenes, running simulations, rendering, and exporting — happens entirely on your device using your Mac’s GPU. Your projects, imported files (such as 3D meshes, images and HDRI environments) and exported output are stored locally on your Mac and are never uploaded to us or to any third party.

3. Files you choose

When you import a file or choose an export location, macOS grants the app access only to the specific files or folders you select. The app does not scan, read, or access any other files on your Mac.

4. Purchases

PyroMetal offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock exporting. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your name, payment card, or any billing information. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

5. Analytics and tracking

The PyroMetal app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking technologies. It does not use cookies or device identifiers. Apple may provide the developer with anonymous, aggregated App Store statistics; this data is provided by Apple and does not identify you.

This website (pyrometal.anilk.dev) uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymized visitor traffic — for example, how many people view the page. This is limited to the website only and is entirely separate from the app, which collects nothing. You can opt out using Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

6. Network use

PyroMetal works fully offline. The only time the app may connect to the internet is when you tap a link (for example, the Documentation link), which opens in your web browser, or when Apple processes an in-app purchase or restore. The app itself sends no data to us.

7. Children’s privacy

PyroMetal does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for all ages and contains no data collection.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because we do not collect any data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Your projects and files remain on your Mac under your control; you can delete them at any time, and removing the app deletes its local data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
